Car batteries, Airbags, Pretensioner Seatbelts and other Automotive Pyrotechnic items are classified as Dangerous/Harzardous Goods under Class 9, and as such they can only be shipped via Sea Freight. We are one of the very few UK companies that properly declare these Class 9 goods to Freight Liners and Customs and we strictly adhere to all laws involving declaring, storing and shipping these products.
To ship these products we arrange getting the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) documentation from the maker/supplier of the Airbags or Pretensioner and we also prepare the DGN (Dangerous Goods Note) and Customs Bill Of Lading in accordance with UK laws. When shipping we properly package all these goods in accordance with proper shipping and storage procedures/standards.
